In the above triangle ABC, AB = 3 units and AC = 4 units. The median AD to BC is half of BC in length, as indicated in the figure. Find the area of the triangle ABC.

Comments:
The area is 6 sq.units.
It is a right angled triangle with angle A as a rt angle.
 
That's correct!

Given this data, points A, B, C lie on a circle with centre D and radius=DA=DB=BC.

So, BC is a diameter and angle(BAC) = 90-deg.

area = (1/2).(3).(4)= 6

Easy, Huh? Solve the rest of the problems!
